If you have purchased a Turnkey Website you will in all
probability be very excited. You now need customers knocking at
your door, right? Here is the problem, most people know nothing
about your site. Getting traffic to your site is up to you. You
need to get your internet marketing off the ground.

Many website owners spend a lot of there budget either buying
the turnkey business package or paying someone to build it for
them. Generally they allow very little to market the site.
If you fall into this category, here are a few tips to market
your turnkey business for free.

1. Email Marketing

A very important step in building your business. If you know
people that are interested in your product or service... Tell
them about your new website by email. Ensure these prospects
are aware of your venture, do not send unsolicited mail!

2.  Search Engines & Directories

To submit your website to the search engines, you can go directly
to the search engine's website and add your URL (website
address).  Search engines try to list sites that contain good
content, so you need keywords and phrases on your pages that best
describe your service and products.  To find out what keywords
your customers may be searching on go to:

Submit your site to search engines. You can do this by going
directly to the search engine's website. Search engines will
list sites that contain good content. Your content must include
keywords that are relevant to your product. Here is a good place
to find keywords that customers are searching.

Once you decide on the keywords, use them in:

Your domain name
The title of your page
The heading of your home page
The first paragraph of your home page
Meta tags - Keywords, page title, description
Titles of your graphics

3. Link Exchanges

Find website that complement your and add their website to your
link partners page. Contact them and ask them for a reciprocal
link. Always ensure that you put no more than thirty links on
any one page.

4. Email Signature

Every email you send should have a signature at the bottom. This
is text that is automatically attached to the email by your
client. Always include your name, URL and telephone number as a
minimum. Slogans and other info can sometimes be seen as a sales
message and therefore ignore by the recipient.

5. Feedback and testimonials

During your time online you will no doubt come across products
and services that you purchase for business or personal use.
If so let the business owner know how much you appreciated their
services and what the product has done for you. This is a
testimonial, business owners like this and may use it on their
site. Now you have a link on their site back to you!

6.  Autoresponders

Email autoresponders work like a fax-on-demand system.  If you
send an email to an autoresponder address, you'll get back a
pre-written message.  Once you set up your email messages,
everything gets done automatically.  As soon as a prospect sends
an email to your autoresponder, the system keeps working over
and over again, like a tireless robot making sure no prospect
ever slips through the cracks.  Most autoresponder systems now
handle your whole mailing list, so you are not having to
manually manage your prospects.

Email autoresponder are vital if you are aiming to put your
business on autopilot. They send follow up messages to your
prospects at intervals you decide and take away from you a very
time consuming task. Many customers will not purchase on the
first visit. Autoresponders allow you to get that message in
front of the client to entice them back.

7.  Newsgroups

A newsgroup is a message board on the internet where users come
to discuss topics of mutual interest. These can be very
profitable. However proceed with caution, they can be time
consuming and you may never see any results. Get expert advice
here on how to maximise your time spent on newsgroups plus much
much more.

8. Articles

An excellent way to get free publicity for your turnkey website
business. Well written articles yield much better results than
advertisements. Consider this when purchasing advertising.

Did you find the advertiser or did the advertiser knock on your
door? If the advertiser knocked on your door then his adverts
aren't working!

Articles will be published all round the web, people click on
the link at the bottom of the article and they find YOU.

There are hundred of places to post articles. Yahoo
groups is a great place to start.

There are many excellent e-books on internet marketing.  I would
recommend you pick up at least one and start reading.  For more
